We offer a number of alternative treatments to migraines including vitamin supplementation and dietary changes. We recommend lifestyle changes that may help improve patients symptoms. We also regularly work closely with patients in order to customize a plan which works them through dietary, lifestyle or medication changes.
Our approach to migraine includes incorporating a holistic mindset which will include a recommendation of dietary changes. At The San Diego Headache Center, we believe there is many ways to treat migraines, not just with pharmaceuticals. This will likely include changes in your diet focusing on reducing inflammation, such as avoiding products that contain tyramine and gluten.
As with dietary changes above, there are several vitamins/supplements that have been shown to be helpful in the management of migraines. We have a short list of these examples below which can often times be taken together and typically without risk. However, we do recommend consultation with our team or medical professional before committing to this
